- The Recovery House is a residential transitional recovery living center for individuals who are awaiting substance abuse treatment or other permanent housing in the community. Recovery House focuses on strength based approaches, 12 step facilitation, gender responsive care, trauma care, cultural sensitivity and is welcoming of individuals with co-occurring conditions and/or on methadone.
- Men and Women ages 18 and over.
- Men and Women with substance dependence problems.
- Individuals with ability to care for themselves.
- Recovery House II is particularly oriented to the needs of the cocaine using client.
- Participate in clinically appropriate, regularly scheduled, outpatient treatment.
- Attend required 12-step meetings.
- Submit random urine and breathalyzer screens.
- If you have a mental health or medical condition - take prescribed medications and be stable.
- Complete daily chores.
- Meet with Case Manager on a weekly basis.
- When needed, Detox must be completed first. Residents have often completed other treatment.
- A recovery-based, safe, supportive, structured living environment.
- AA/NA meetings.
- Three meals each day.
- Case managers who help in setting up outpatient treatment and psychiatric appointments.
- Support to help residents find jobs or continue education.
- Fully furnished rooms, a dining area, and a TV lounge.
- Enhanced Life Skills
- Strong sobriety plan
- Relapse Prevention Skills
- A recovery network
- Case Management support
- Self Care Skills, including accessing:
- Medical Care
- Dental Care
- Ability to get and keep a job

- Fax referral paperwork to 860-714-8971 - paperwork should have a current physical, PPD, a description of potential resident's history and a release of information from current program (this helps to discuss progress made there). In addition, information about client's plan after completing a Recovery House stay should be included.
