The Latino Program offers two levels of treatment in Spanish. It is conveniently located on a city bus line (CT Transit Route 46 - Vine St) and offers ample parking. The center is handicapped accessible. The center holds a multi-psychiatric license in addition to a Substance Abuse license, which facilitates treatment for client with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment is offered during the day, and runs three days per week, three hours each day, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It is designed for the client who needs more structured and frequent treatment. This program for adults (18 years old and above) employs highly structured group therapy with a cognitive-behavioral approach that includes stress management, family processes, role playing, relapse prevention skills.

Outpatient Treatment is designed for clients who are in need of treatment but also have the skills and support to recover without the need of higher levels of treatments. Outpatient services provide weekly individual, group and family counseling. Specialty groups are provided, such as anger management, relapse prevention, and gender specific treatment.

Treatment is tailored to the individualized needs and the range of services includes individual and group therapy; alcohol and drug education; relapse prevention; family therapy and ongoing aftercare. Outpatient treatment groups are for both males and females clientele.

Clients come to the Center from other ADRC programs, state and city agencies, local treatment centers, Department of Children and Families, Adult Parole/Probation offices, local courts including Hartford Community Court, Family Court, and Hartford Superior Court. The treatment cost are covered by Medicaid, Medicaid LIA, some commercial plan (private insurance) and sliding fee scale (self pay). Those using the Center include blue and white-collars and professions whose substance abuse problems have resulted in many losses including jobs, families, and stable living situations.

We operate a number of facilities, offering a wide range of services to help our clients achieve and maintain a life free of the destructive effects of chemical dependency.
