- A physician-monitored thirty five bed residential treatment facility
- Nursing care is provided twenty-four hours a day, every day
- Counseling staff assist with treatment planning and referrals
- The Detoxification Center is nationally accredited by CARF
- The detoxification services are licensed by the Department of Public Health
- Medically managed, safe, and comfortable detoxification from opiates and/or alcohol
- Group counseling, one-on-one counseling and special interest groups are offered such as women's issues, Latino groups, and age specific groups
- State-of-the art medication regimens, including, as appropriate, buprenorphine
- Recovery skills development and treatment planning
- The Center offers a Department of Social Service's representative (Monday to Friday) to help you apply for state medical insurance entitlements.
- Persons at least 18 years old, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or religion
- Persons in need of a medical-monitored detoxification from opiates and/or alcohol
- Persons with special needs or handicapping conditions
- We accept most private insurances as well as SAGA and Medicaid
- The Detoxification Center is open 24 hrs a day, seven days a week. Walk-ins are welcome. You are encouraged to call ahead, to check on bed availability, and to obtain your free consultation - (860) 714-3700.
- Referrals to the Detoxification Center can come from anywhere and anyone - including Emergency Departments, private physician's offices, family, friends - or self referrals.
- In many instances, transportation to the Center can be arranged.
- Admissions are handled in the order of their arrival or by medical necessity.
- You will experience a medically-managed, safe, and comfortable detoxification.
- You will begin to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to manage substance dependence as a chronic illness.
- You will explore your own relapse triggers and develop plans to neutralize those triggers.
- You will gain familiarity with community peer supports such as A.A., N.A., CCAR, etc.
- You and your counselor will develop an individualized plan for your recovery.
- We will assist you in arranging aftercare services.
